Synopsis - Samuel Dunkirk built his empire from the ground up. The only child of poor immigrants, Sam opened his first store with twelve hundred dollars and a dream to give lower-income customers more bang for their buck.

That was sixty years ago. Today Dunkirk's is a huge, thriving, high-end department store being run by Sam's three children - the "heir apparent" eldest son who will do anything for a profit, the middle daughter who spends the majority of her time climbing the social ladder when not in rehab, and Lucy, the baby of the family, who was always her father's favorite and seems determined to carry on with his visions.

Now throw in a handful of back-stabbing spouses and pampered grandchildren, and you've got the basis for one majorly dysfunctional - yet extremely powerful - group of people.
